When Women Speak, Tyrants Tremble

In collaboration with Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, Yordan Silvera partnered with fellow artist Just-Swamp to bring to life When Women Speak, Tyrants Tremble—a powerful multimedia project celebrating the courage of five Cuban women who have bravely used their voices to challenge oppression.

Project Highlights:

Artistic Video Production: Yordan co-directed and crafted a captivating video that combined live-action elements with storytelling to spotlight the women’s inspiring journeys.

Illustration and Animation: Original illustrations and animations added depth and emotion to the narrative, visualizing the struggles and triumphs of these women in a unique and impactful way.
